By Jacob Withee | October 20, 2017

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona Suns announced Friday that they have traded for a second round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft.

In a trade with Fort Wayne, the Suns acquired the Mad Ants’ second round pick in next year’s draft for the returning player rights to Deonte Burton.

Burton didn’t play for the NAZ Suns in their inaugural season. He played internationally for the Lille Métropole Basket Clubs, a member of the LNB Pro B in France, in 2016-17.

Currently playing for the Wonju DB Promy in the Korean Basketball League, the 26-year-old guard played for the Bakersfield Jam in 2015-16. He averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in 43 games (29 starts) that year.

Season tickets are now on sale for the Northern Arizona Suns’ second year in the NBA G League.
