PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – The Phoenix Suns announced today they have assigned guard Elie Okobo to the Northern Arizona Suns.

This marks Okobo’s third assignment to the NBA G League, where he has averaged 18.6 points, 7.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals in seven games (all starts). He last played for the NAZ Suns on Dec. 21, where he dished a career-high 14 assists to go with 21 points, five rebounds and two steals against the Erie BayHawks at the 2018 MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase in Las Vegas.

If there weren’t a necessary number of games to qualify, Okobo would be fifth in the league with 7.9 assists per game, and his 18.6 points per game would lead the Suns.

In his rookie year for the Phoenix Suns, Okobo has averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 assists in 43 games (11 starts). Among NBA rookies, he averages the eighth most assists.

The NAZ Suns next play Sunday at 3 p.m. PT at the Findlay Toyota Center against the Texas Legends. Tickets are on sale now at www.nazsuns.com/tickets.
