Derrick Jones Jr. Recalled by Phoenix Suns

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – The Phoenix Suns announced Friday that they have recalled Derrick Jones Jr. from the Northern Arizona Suns.

Jones was assigned to Phoenix’s NBA G League affiliate for the second time this week on Thursday. It marked Jones’ second assignment of the season and the eighth of his career.

The 6-foot 7-inch, 195-pound forward started for the Northern Arizona Suns Thursday night in the team’s 141-140 victory over the Iowa Wolves at the Prescott Valley Event Center. He tallied 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Jones has averaged 1.8 points on 50 percent shooting and 0.8 rebounds per game in four contests for the Phoenix Suns this season.

The Phoenix Suns next play tonight against the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
